Just Gettin' Started is a Chicago-based non-profit that equips Black youth with the tools, resources, and community necessary to get started in life.
We provide skills-based after-school programs and weekend workshops supporting youth 7-15.
AHEAD OF THE REST
Our flagship program Ahead of the Rest (Ahead), provides interactive workshops, after-school programs, and camps that teach Black girls entrepreneurship and empowerment through hair-centric lessons.
With the support of Ahead Academy, we provide free workshops, after-school programs, and camps to Black and Brown girls on the south and west sides of Chicago.
